La pareja se conoció en una fiesta cuando un amigo en común los presentó. - Nuestra vida en común es relajada. He estado usando las mismas listas para hacer la maleta durante diez años. Quiero despedirme de mis padres como es debido antes del viaje. Nos mantenemos en estrecho contacto. Mi madre viene con sus amigas a ver mi concierto en Hamburgo. Es una cosa graciosa. Mi ritmo de sueño varía dependiendo de si hay un concierto por la noche o no. En los días de concierto, duermo tanto como sea posible para estar en la mejor forma en el concierto. De lo contrario, soy una persona mañanera y me gusta despertarme temprano. The long silent-life of the singer ended in January with the launch of his first solo album, Neon Noir. A world tour begins in February and will continue until the end of the year. Him fans around the world have not forgotten Ville, because tickets for concerts have sold well.
- It is nice to leave little by little from the dark basement into the light of the people. Before the launch concert of my album, the last time I had been on stage with a rock band was six years ago, when we played at the HIM band farewell concerts. I already had time to think if something could still came out from me. I felt relieved when I started the wheel. I already missed moving the ass on stage.
During the period of silence Ville made the album from beginning to end alone. While working on the album, he realized that he´s not afraid of loneliness.
-I enjoy being with people, but after that I miss my own peace. I've always been like this. While I made the album, I really didn't feel alone, because music was my lifeguard. The work was a challenge, but being trapped in the place would have been even more exhausting. Having small butterflies in the stomach and feeling insecure is sexy and interesting in any case.
Ville writes songs about his own life. The aesthetics of love and death has fascinated him since he was young. Also, melancholic music and a romantic and relaxed atmosphere. Even so, he does not recognize himself as a particularly dark guy.
- I have noticed that comedians are usually the most cunning people, while semi-dark musicians are comedians in civil dresses. I am something intermediate. Someone could hardly make dark music and also be sad all the time.
In recent years, Ville's day to day has consisted of spending time in peace with his girlfriend in Meilahti's house. From time to time, the mother's terrier Olavi comes to be taken care of.
The hectic years really seem to have been left behind. Has the rocker arrived at the middle age?
- I don't know about that, but at least my life has rationalized. It took me a while to realize that if you want to be a good musician, you must concentrate on making music instead of drinking beer. I no longer want to lose days with hangovers. I still appreciate the fact that I have seen the dark side of life.
Ville is currently working from all day long. In concerts, life is an adventure, so normal daily life is better when you are at home.
- Someone could find my life quite boring. Actually, everything I do is related to my work. I get influences for my music from art exhibitions and movies. The competition is hard, you have to fashing your belt well so you don´t fall out of the car. The reason I will not become a regular on social networks, because I think I am too old for that.
Ville has been with his girlfriend Christel Karhu for six years. The couple met at a party when a mutual friend introduced them.
- Our life together is relaxed. When you get along with someone, everyday things don't have to be extraordinary. We play cards, talk and drive around. To quote Dingo: life is easy when you have someone to hold on to.
HOW DOES YOUR DAY CONTINUE FROM HERE?
I'm going home to pay bills. I try to avoid it until the end, but now it has to be done.
I'm preparing for the world tour that starts in a couple of weeks. I check that the laundry is done and that there are enough asthma medicines. I've been using the same packing lists for ten years. I want to say goodbye to my parents properly before the trip. We keep in close contact. My mother comes with her friends to see my concert in Hamburg. It's a funny thing.
My sleeping rhythm varies depending on whether there is a concert at night or not. On concert days, I sleep as much as possible to be in the best shape for the concert. Otherwise, I am a morning person and like to wake up early. Yesterday I didn't go to bed until three and woke up at seven in the morning. I'll need more sleep next night.
